Cheers to you, 2020 grads

To the graduating class of 2020
This year has taken a rather unexpected turn – bringing life as we know it to a halt and creating a new normal for communities across our state.
We at DH, along with a local coalition of our Spokane government, businesses and media partners, have teamed up with area school districts to celebrate our high school graduating class of 2020 in this unprecedented time. With the heartache of an abnormal close to the school year – no senior prom, spring sports and graduation ceremony – we wanted to shine a light on the senior class to let them know that Spokane is proud of them.
There are currently a variety of efforts taking place to highlight our region’s class of 2020. Our coalition has donated time and effort to ensure that graduates are still celebrated in a big way – by installing various billboards, banners and art installations across Spokane County. Each piece of artwork is complete with a logo and color scheme donated by the Great PNW. For more information about the activities taking place, visit spokane2020.com.
Our goal as a coalition is to get county-wide support for this Class of 2020 campaign and we’re encouraging local businesses to participate in a few different ways.
Please consider using your reader boards and windows to share messages of congratulations for the class of 2020.
Businesses may choose to provide discounts or special offers to the class of 2020.
Some businesses may want to support the seniors at a particular school in the area with a donation. One great way to support a specific senior class is to donate the funds necessary to buy Spokane Class of 2020 t-shirts for each senior. Bulk rates are available at spokane2020.com.
Show your support, and look good doing it, with a purchase of a limited edition “Grads give back” Spokane class of 2020 t-shirt, designed by The Great PNW.
Class of 2020 artwork is installed across town, including signal boxes in Riverfront Park and Franklin Park, including your specific school.
Visit selfie destinations at Comstock Park and North Pines Middle School with vinyl weaving so you can strike a pose with the Class of 2020 backdrop.
The Class of 2020 logo is everywhere in downtown Spokane.
Billboards with congratulatory messages are up all around Spokane.
Listen to messages of advice and congratulations from local celebrities.
To seniors across Spokane County…. from Cheney to Liberty Lake, Spokane Valley to Riverside and Reardan to Freeman, we hope this campaign makes one thing clear – your city is proud of you!
