Nyhus Communications is now part of DH

Two of Washington’s leading communications firms join forces to strengthen the impact we make in our state and beyond.

When you’ve spent your career seeking to make a positive difference in communities through strategic communications and social change marketing, you view growth through a distinct lens: how will it help us better serve clients and communities?

So, when a trusted agency partner, collaborator and friend called us to discuss the sale of their Seattle-based company, we listened.

Roger Nyhus, the founder and CEO of Nyhus Communications, launched his firm three decades ago and quickly established it as one of the premier strategic communications agencies in the Pacific Northwest. Nyhus has served clients like Swedish Health, Alaska Airlines and Russell Investments. The firm played a key role in passing marriage equality and has deep roots in the Seattle community. But he was ready, as he put it, to pursue the “next exciting chapter of service.” DH was his first call.

From the moment we started talking with Roger Nyhus and Marc Berger, Nyhus President and Partner, we knew this move was the right one.

Our teams share a passion for equity-centered communications, research-based campaigns, advocacy and communications strategy that makes a difference for clients. Our employees are committed to creating positive change in communities and in the world. They understand the far-reaching impact of the work they do and the lives they touch.  Together, we are a true statewide agency with deep relationships in every corner of Washington, and beyond. Both firms are widely awarded and recognized for our complementary skills, but now we can develop even more sophisticated campaigns with incredible local knowledge and expertise working in diverse industries and communities.  

We’ll have two offices, one in Seattle and one in Spokane – and we’ll collectively do business as DH in the months to come. We look forward to having clients meet our new team members in Seattle.

We’re also thrilled to announce Marc Berger is now the executive vice president and Seattle market leader for DH. His leadership will ensure a smooth transition for Nyhus clients and team members. Marc is deeply involved in communities across the Puget Sound, including board service for organizations like Seattle’s Chamber of Commerce, the Henry M. Jackson Foundation Leadership Council and chairing the Washington State China Relations Council.
